FISHING:

Blue water is just outside the bay and today’s fishing was almost perfect if it wasn’t for some gusty winds just about midday, but overall a magnificent day for billfishing. Boats don’t have to go very far as they are finding blue water within the first mile outside the bay. As it usually is every time of the year, Sailfish dominate the billfishing zone, boats averaged 4 hook ups and most of them released. Capt. Omar on the “Sun Dancer” got a couple of hook ups on some black Marlin. Inshore, there has been an increase on yellow tail tuna and crevalle jacks, most of them in the 30 – 40 lbs. class.
